BLue economy training

The Blue Economy is a sustainability movement, started by Gunter Pauli, who is an influencial figure in the environmental friendly business world. Basiscally, the Blue Economy uses holistic thinking wherein the integral system is as important as its individual particles. By applying new scientific insights, the Blue Economy comes up with technological solutions, regionally reinforcing economic principles and new business models.

The Blue Economy was first launched by Gunter Pauli in 1994 when he was asked by the United Nations to think about the business models of the future. Gunter came up with more than 180 concrete cases in which he demonstrated that it is possible to generate more turnover and employment while respecting nature and the environment and while still being competitive in the global market.
